“Too Many” Coffee Shops

I truly don’t think there is such a thing as “too many” coffee shops.

I hear people say it all the time: “There are too many coffee shops.” But I wholeheartedly disagree.

No two coffee shops are exactly alike, and each has its own unique purpose. There are at least seven different coffee shops within a 15-minute drive of my house (I say at least because I think there might be others that I haven’t visited yet). However, I don’t think that means there isn’t room for any more.

Each coffee shop within the 15-minute radius of my house serves a different purpose for me. For example, there’s one that’s perfect for hanging out at, one that is my preferred working space, one that has a drive thru for easy access, one that is perfect for coffee and lunch, one that is conveniently located inside a grocery store (which I work at!), one that I don’t prefer but am open to giving it second and third chances, and one that just opened that I cannot wait to visit!

On the days that I am not working as a barista, I love visiting the other local coffee shops, depending on my mood and what I have planned for the day. And on the days I have nothing to do, I love exploring beyond these seven and visiting coffee shops in neighboring towns.

Actually, I am currently writing this blog in a new-to-me coffee shop located in Pittsburgh. It’s called Fig Tree Coffee, and I am honestly a little jealous I don’t live closer. The baristas are so kind, the vibes are immaculate, the coffee is delicious, and THERE ARE DOGS!!

If I lived closer to the city, I would come here all the time. I am already planning when I could possibly find the time to bring my fiancé here because I know he would love it too.

So thank you, local coffee shops. Please continue to sprout all over Western PA, because I, for one, think there is no such thing as too many coffee shops.

At Fig Tree Coffee! This is a honey & caramel latte topped with extra cinnamon powder. It was absolutely delicious, and I will be recreating this at work.
